Yeah, because the current comment system doesn’t require registration and login, a notification system can’t work without requiring all users to have their own account. The best I can do is probably an email reply notification system.
However, if you want to ensure some of your comments get notifications, you can use the new member forum. Posts in the forum would get a notice on the upper right corner of the forum page. With respect: Vitamindddd.
